My Writing Journey

Storytelling has been an integral part of Megan’s life. As a kid, she devoured books, reading between classes, taking them with her to hockey practice, or perusing them under the table in the low light of restaurants. Inspired by the worlds authors built, she decided she wanted to create some of her own. She began with picture books, illustrated with covers laminated by her mother, but as she grew, so did her ambitions.

In college she began to explore longer form writing through short stories. As she wrote those stories, she realized she wanted to expand on the worlds she built and spend more time with her characters. So, she began her first book – and has never looked back.

Megan wrote three young adult novels and submitted her third novel, to the Write Mentor Summer Program. She was delighted to be chosen by author S. Kaeth, who helped her develop her manuscript and enrich her story.

Since then, Megan has written even more books, comes up with new ideas regularly, and tries to write as often as she can.
